Eytan Barak (he/him) is a speech-language pathologist living in Toronto Ontario. Eytan graduated from the University of Toronto and has spent his career working with adults in acute care, rehabilitation hospitals, and in the community. His focus is always on tackling functional goals, to increase their independence, and develop their personal and professional skills. By collaborating with his clients he is able to create more meaningful, long-lasting change.
Through his work, Eytan has developed skills in training a wide variety of speech and communication goals. He has a particular passion for working with individuals with cognitive communication challenges as well as helping adults develop their professional communication skills.
Prior to his training as a speech-language pathologist, Eytan received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from York University, with a focus on the neurological basis of behaviour and language.
Eytan is fluent in English and Hebrew, and has good conversational skills in both Russian and Spanish.
When he is not working as a speech-language pathologist, Eytan enjoys listening to podcasts about politics, history, and science. He also spends some of his time exploring new recipes, and watching documentaries and reality TV with his partner and his cat. If you live downtown you may be able to also see him running around the Lakeshore or rowing at an indoor gym.

Jordan Scholl (he/him) is a speech-language pathologist and professional singer living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Jordan graduated from the University of Toronto and has spent his career as a speech therapist providing services to the adult population in rehabilitation hospitals, private practice, and research settings throughout Toronto. In caring for his clients, Jordan emphasizes a holistic, functional, and individualized approach. He believes in “rehabilitation for function not frivolity,” and has always respected the adult populations he works with by collaborating with them to establish functional goals in therapy.
As a life-long learner, Jordan continues post-graduate training and learning in areas of speech, voice, and communication. In particular, Jordan has a passion for working with adults in areas of voice and singing voice therapy, transgender communication training, motor speech/articulation therapy, and stuttering and fluency therapy.
Prior to his training to become a speech therapist, Jordan received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Guelph, where he focused much of his attention on the anatomy and physiology of breathing, speech, and the voice. During his graduate studies, Jordan was a frequent lecturer for the Human Anatomy programs at both University of Guelph and Guelph-Humber, as well as masterclass clinician at McMaster University. His passion for the voice and communication was recognized by an invitation to give a TEDx Talk at the University of Guelph in 2012. When he is not working as a speech therapist, Jordan is working as a singer and singing in a variety of styles from Classical to Broadway to Jazz in venues around North America including Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Palais Montcalm, and Toronto’s very own Roy Thompson Hall and Koerner Hall. Jordan’s career as a singer has earned him two Grammy nominations and a Juno nomination.

Speech-Language Pathologist
Andrea Thornhill (she/her) is a speech-language pathologist in Toronto, Ontario. Andrea graduated from City University London, UK and has worked with adults in hospital rehabilitation and in the community. Andrea is an advocate of working collaboratively and professionally with clients and caregivers to create practical goals.
In Andrea’s career she has sought experience in cognitive communication, dysfluency (stammer), oral motor disorders, dysphagia, aphasia and articulation. She believes in the philosophy “everyone deserves a voice” and is enthusiastic to work with adults in professional communication.
Prior to a career as a speech language pathologist, Andrea completed an undergraduate degree at University of Toronto, in Biology with a focus in language acquisition, adult learning principles and communications skills. Her postgraduate dissertation focused on communication in individuals with high level cognitive skills post stroke.
When she is not working as a speech therapist, Andrea can be found in the kitchen baking, in a yoga class following her favourite yogi, skating or trying to learn a foreign language.

Speech-Language Pathologist
Courtney Cain-Porter (she/her) is a speech-language pathologist in Hamilton, Ontario. Courtney hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she graduated from Dalhousie University School of Human Communication Disorders. She has worked with adults and families in a variety of settings including hospital acute care, rehabilitation, long term care, schools and in the community.
In her career, Courtney has provided support for stuttering, motor speech and articulation, dysphagia, aphasia, and social communication/autism spectrum disorder. Given a philosophy that communication is a highly individualized and personal tool for everyone, she is enthusiastic in using a solutions-focused approach to speech, voice and language intervention with clients. Curiosity and collaboration are primary tools at the onset of her time with clients, working to first understand, individualize and prioritize the goals of the client. Her master’s thesis focused on voice quality and its impact on gender identification of voice in the transgender community.
Prior to a career as a speech-language pathologist, Courtney completed an undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University in music with a focus in voice performance and music therapy followed by a Diploma in Opera. She provided voice training at the Canadian Conservatory of Music, and regular support under a music therapist for people at the Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Long-term care both in Halifax.
When she is not working, Courtney seeks time for acting in community theater, running, planning travel and as an informal chauffeur for her kids.
